Netherlands Schengen Visa Application Requirements

If you’re traveling to Netherlands and you need to apply for a Schengen visa, please see the complete list of the Netherlands Schengen visa application requirements below. Make sure you submit the complete requirements to get your visa approved.

 

 

Netherlands Visa Application Requirements

1. Duly filled out and signed Schengen visa application form (original and photocopy). You can see the Schengen Visa Application Form here.

2. One (1) recently taken passport-sized photo (not used in previous visas and teeth not showing).

3. Current passport with at least 2 blank pages/ at least 3 months valid upon return

4. Previous passports

5. Proof of travel:
a. Copy of the roundtrip flight reservation with Passenger Registration Number (or PNR reservation number) and travel itinerary.
b. Airline itinerary should cover your entry and exit to and from The Netherlands and to all Schengen countries of destinations.
c. The reservation should prove that the stay in the Schengen area does not exceed 90 days. It is recommended not to buy the ticket until the visa is granted. Read more about flight itinerary for visa application.

6. Proof of Travel medical insurance coverage (Eur 30.000)
a. The insurance must cover the entire period of intended stay, valid for all Schengen States and covering any expenses which may arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay.

7. Proof of accommodation
a. Hotel confirmation or hotel voucher (to all Schengen states of destination)

8. If you are joining a cruise, please provide your reservation certificate and the ship’s itinerary.

9. Any other land or tour arrangements and tour itinerary or train reservation.

10. Proof of financial means of the applicant. One or more of the following documents may be submitted:
a. Bank certification, bank books.
b. Recent personal bank statement or balance over the last three months.

11. Proof of occupation

If employed:
a. Certificate of employment
b. Certificate of leave of absence

If self-employed:
a. Business registration
b. Mayor’s permit

If student:
a. Proof of enrolment
b. Certificate of leave of absence if travelling during the school year

12. If minor traveling either of the parents:
a. Notarized affidavit of support & consent of parents/legal guardian
b. Photocopy of passport of parents/legal guardian
c. Proof of economic means of parents/legal guardian (Bank Statement)
d. Birth certificate of the minor

13. If traveling with spouse and/or children :
a. Marriage contract
b. Birth certificates of children

14. For spouse of EU nationals traveling with or meeting the EU citizen:
a. Proof of marriage: marriage contract, marriage certificate.
b. Photocopy of the EU national’s passport.

15. Photocopies of all originals including your passport bio data page. The embassy will return originals to you and keep the copies. Only for some documents the Embassy needs the original and you can keep a copy for your reference.

Italy Schengen Visa Application Requirements

If you’re traveling to Italy and you need to apply for a Schengen visa, please see the complete list below for the application requirements. Make sure you submit the complete requirements below to get your visa approved.

 

 

Italy Visa Application Requirements

1. Application form, completed truthfully signed by the applicant in both required boxes. Please DO NOT leave blanks in the form.(Applications of minors have to be signed by their legal guardian). You can see the Schengen Visa Application Form here.

2. Photo. One (1) recent passport-sized or 2×2 colored ICAO standard photo with white background (ears should be exposed and with collared shirt/blouse)

3. Passport.  Old (if available) and Current valid passport (expiry date is three months longer than that of the visa requested but please consider the 6 months validity as required by the immigration). Pls include as well a photocopy of Biographical page and last page of the valid passport, previous visa and immigration stamps in all countries.

4. Proof of travel. Copy of the roundtrip flight reservation with Passenger Registration Number (or reservation number) and travel itinerary. You can also show train reservation within Italy or Europe for your visa application. Read more about flight itinerary for visa application.

5. Proof of accommodation (hotel confirmation or hotel voucher). You need to show hotel reservation booking for all cities you are visiting on your trip. You can easily book them via a hotel booking site or a travel agency.

6. Travel insurance with coverage of at least 30,000 euros (with 15 days allowance beyond travel period) for expenses for emergency hospitalization and repatriation expenses, valid throughout the Schengen area, to be chosen only among those offered by the Schengen accredited Insurance companies.

7. Detailed day-to-day itinerary of the planned trip (indicating days and dates of stay in different countries or tour programme). Create an Excel sheet of your plan with day to day activities.

8. Proof of financial means of the applicant
a. Bank certification, bank books
b. Personal bank statements, credit card statements or balance covering the last six months
c. If available, international credit cards statements, properties, land titles etc.
d. Copy of real estate property – title-deed (if relevant)
e. For minors: Proof of economic means of parents or legal guardian (cf. the above)

9. Proof of occupation
a. If employed: Certificate of employment and approved Certificate of leave absence
b. If self-employed: Department of Trade Industry (DTI)/ Securities Exchange Commission SEC registration of business; Income Tax Return; Business Financial Statement
c. If student: Proof of enrolment and Certificate of leave absence if traveling during school year

10. If traveling with spouse and/or children:
a. Marriage contract certified by the National Statistics Office (NSO)
b. Birth certificates of children certified by the National Statistics Office (NSO)

11. Minors
a. Affidavit of support and consent of parents (especially of the non-traveling parent) or legal guardian; Copy of passport of parents or legal guardian
b. Birth certificate of the minor certified by the National Statistics Office (NSO)
c. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) clearance

Belgium Schengen Visa Application Requirements

Belgium Visa Application Requirements

1. Application form, duly completed and signed by the applicant. (Applications of minors have to be signed by their legal guardian). You can see the Schengen Visa Application Form here.

2. Passport with validity of at least 3 months after the end of the planned journey

3. Copy of the data page of the passport together with all pages having visas and stamps

4. One (1) passport sized photo with white background and not older than 6 months

5. Non-refundable visa application fee to be paid upon submission of visa application

6. Proof of travel. Copy of the roundtrip airline flight reservation with Passenger name & Registration Number (or reservation number). Do not pay for or buy the ticket until a visa has been granted. Note: If the application is approved, the visa will be issued according to your roundtrip airline ticket reservation dates. Read more about flight itinerary for visa application.

7. Proof of Travel Medical Insurance. Copy of the insurance issued by accredited companies only. The insurance should:
a. Have a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros
b. Be valid in all Schengen countries
c. Cover the entire duration of the trip

8. Proof of accommodation: Hotel confirmation, hotel reservations or hotel voucher. You need to show hotel reservation booking for all cities you are visiting on your trip.

9. Proof of transportation: Copy of train reservation, domestic flight or car rental if planned to visit several Schengen countries

10. Travel itinerary: Detailed day-to-day planned trip

11. Proof of financial means of the applicant:
a. Bank certification, bank books
b. Personal bank statements, credit card statements or balance covering the last six months
c. For minors: Proof of economic means of parents or legal guardian

12. Proof of occupation
If employed:
a. Certificate of employment
b. Certificate of leave absence

If self-employed:
a. Department of Trade Industry (DTI)/Securities Exchange Commission SEC registration of business
b. Income Tax Return
c. Business Financial Statement

If student:
a. Proof of enrolment
b. Certificate of leave absence if traveling during school year

13. If traveling with spouse and/or children
a. Marriage contract issued by National Statistics Office (NSO) security paper
b. Birth certificates of children issued by National Statistics Office (NSO) security paper

14. For Minors
a. Affidavit of support & consent of parents (especially of the non-traveling parent) or legal guardian
b. Copy of passport of parents or legal guardian
c. Birth certificate of the minor issued by National Statistics Office (NSO) security paper
d. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) clearance

Austria Schengen Visa Application Requirements

If you’re traveling to Austria and you need to apply for a Schengen visa, please see the complete list of the application requirements below. Make sure you submit the complete requirements below to get your visa approved.

 

Austria Visa Application Requirement

1. Application form, completed truthfully in English or German in print and signed by the applicant in both required boxes. (Applications of minors have to be signed by their legal guardian). You can see the Schengen Visa Application Form here.

2. Two recent passport photographs (colour, 3,5 x 4,5 cm, light background), complying with ICAO guidelines.

3. Passport, valid at least three months beyond the expiration date of the requested visa, at least two blank pages. Passport copy (first and last page, all used pages), copies of old visas in previous passports (incl. data page of old passports), Minors need to submit a copy of their legal guardian’s passport as well.

4. Detailed itinerary for entire stay in the Schengen area (indicating days and dates of stay in different countries or tour programme). Create an Excel sheet of your plan with day to day activities.

5. Flight reservation for visa application (copy of the round trip airline reservation); no issued ticket required at the time of application. Proof of means of transportation according to itinerary if visiting other Schengen countries (e.g. flight reservations, train reservations, bus reservations). 6. All risk travel insurance, valid for all EU countries, Norway and Switzerland, with a minimum coverage of EUR 30.000.

7. Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation, hotel vouchers, proof of private accommodation). You need to show hotel reservation booking for all cities you are visiting on your trip. You can easily book them via a hotel booking site or a travel agency.

8. Proof of financial means:
a. Bank certificates (in original)
b. Personal bank statements, credit card statements or bank books showing the last six months

9. Proof of occupation
a. If employed: Certificate of employment, Leave of absence, Payslips of the last six months.
b. If self-employed: DTI/SEC registration of business, Income Tax Return, Business financial statement.
c. If student: Proof of enrolment, Certificate of leave of absence if travelling in term time

10. Proof of will to return
a. Proof of economic ties in your country
b. Proof of family ties in your country

11. For dependent spouse and children:
a. Marriage certificate (certified PSA copy)
b. Birth certificate(certified PSA copy)

12. For minors (below 18 years):
a. Affidavit of support & consent of parents or legal guardian (in particular of the non-travelling parent)
b. Copies of passports of parents or legal guardian, Birth certificate(certified PSA copy)
c. Proof of legal guardianship
d. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) clearance

Sample Flight Reservation or Flight Itinerary for Visa Application

In case you’re wondering, below is how a flight reservation or flight itinerary for visa application looks like. Notice that each flight reservation has a unique 6-digit PNR (Passenger Name Record) or Booking Code which you can use to check that the flight reservation is valid and real directly from the airline website.

You can confirm it on the airline website under “Manage My Booking” by entering this unique booking code and your last name.

Some people call it dummy flight booking or fake flight booking but it’s not. It’s actually a real confirmed and verifiable booking except you didn’t pay for the full ticket price yet because it was just a reservation.

It’s very easy to check the validity of your flight reservation.  You can Google “airline name + Manage Booking” or go to the homepage of the airline and look for the page or link called “Manage My Booking” or “Manage Booking” or any variation of this.

For this example we will use one of our clients, Ms Enriquez’s Singapore Air flight reservation.

So we checked Singapore Airline’s website and Manage Booking is found directly on the homepage. It’s right beside Search Flights.

Click Manage Booking and you have to enter the 6-digit booking reference and your last name to retrieve your booking. Once entered, click “Manage Booking” to show your itinerary.
