Italy Schengen Visa Application Requirements

If you’re traveling to Italy and you need to apply for a Schengen visa, please see the complete list below for the application requirements. Make sure you submit the complete requirements below to get your visa approved.

 

 

Italy Visa Application Requirements

1. Application form, completed truthfully signed by the applicant in both required boxes. Please DO NOT leave blanks in the form.(Applications of minors have to be signed by their legal guardian). You can see the Schengen Visa Application Form here.

2. Photo. One (1) recent passport-sized or 2×2 colored ICAO standard photo with white background (ears should be exposed and with collared shirt/blouse)

3. Passport.  Old (if available) and Current valid passport (expiry date is three months longer than that of the visa requested but please consider the 6 months validity as required by the immigration). Pls include as well a photocopy of Biographical page and last page of the valid passport, previous visa and immigration stamps in all countries.

4. Proof of travel. Copy of the roundtrip flight reservation with Passenger Registration Number (or reservation number) and travel itinerary. You can also show train reservation within Italy or Europe for your visa application. Read more about flight itinerary for visa application.

5. Proof of accommodation (hotel confirmation or hotel voucher). You need to show hotel reservation booking for all cities you are visiting on your trip. You can easily book them via a hotel booking site or a travel agency.

6. Travel insurance with coverage of at least 30,000 euros (with 15 days allowance beyond travel period) for expenses for emergency hospitalization and repatriation expenses, valid throughout the Schengen area, to be chosen only among those offered by the Schengen accredited Insurance companies.

7. Detailed day-to-day itinerary of the planned trip (indicating days and dates of stay in different countries or tour programme). Create an Excel sheet of your plan with day to day activities.

8. Proof of financial means of the applicant
a. Bank certification, bank books
b. Personal bank statements, credit card statements or balance covering the last six months
c. If available, international credit cards statements, properties, land titles etc.
d. Copy of real estate property – title-deed (if relevant)
e. For minors: Proof of economic means of parents or legal guardian (cf. the above)

9. Proof of occupation
a. If employed: Certificate of employment and approved Certificate of leave absence
b. If self-employed: Department of Trade Industry (DTI)/ Securities Exchange Commission SEC registration of business; Income Tax Return; Business Financial Statement
c. If student: Proof of enrolment and Certificate of leave absence if traveling during school year

10. If traveling with spouse and/or children:
a. Marriage contract certified by the National Statistics Office (NSO)
b. Birth certificates of children certified by the National Statistics Office (NSO)

11. Minors
a. Affidavit of support and consent of parents (especially of the non-traveling parent) or legal guardian; Copy of passport of parents or legal guardian
b. Birth certificate of the minor certified by the National Statistics Office (NSO)
c. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) clearance
