Slovenia Schengen Visa Application Requirements

Slovenia Visa Application Requirements

1. Application form, duly completed and signed by the applicant. (Applications of minors have to be signed by their legal guardian). You can see the Schengen Visa Application Form here.

2. Two (2) passport-sized photos attached. It should be a recent whole-face capture with a light background.

3. Passport and copies of previous visas – valid for at least 3 months beyond return date. Passport must have at least two blank pages.

4. Copy of return ticket reservation. It is not recommended to purchase the ticket before obtaining the visa if not otherwise required.

5. Schengen Visa Travel Insurance confirmation of minimum 30,000 € coverage within Slovenia and the entire Schengen area.

6. A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Slovenia and itinerary.

7. Proof of accommodation: Hotel Accommodation for the whole duration of the intended stay in Slovenia

8. Proof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card if applicable)

9. Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Slovenia showing that the applicant possesses sufficient funds both for the duration of the intended stay and for the return to their country of origin or residence, or for transit to a third country to which they are certain to be admitted, or that they are in a position to acquire such means lawfully, in accordance with Article 5 of the Schengen Borders Code

10. If employed:
a. Employment contract
b. Current bank statement of the latest 6 months
c. No-objection certificate from employer
d. Income Tax Return (ITR) form or Certificate of Income Tax deducted at the source of salary

11. If self-employed:
a. Copy of your business license
b. Company bank statement of the latest 6 months
c. Income Tax Return (ITR)

12. If a student:
a. Proof of enrollment
b. Leave approval letter from school or university

13. If retired:
a. Pension statement of the latest 6 months

14. If applicable:
a. Regular income generated by property proof of the latest 6 months

15. Invitation letter with the address and phone number from family member or sponsor (if applicable)

16. Documents relating to the itinerary:
a. Confirmation of the booking of an organised trip or any other appropriate document indicating the envisaged travel plans;
b. In the case of transit: visa or other entry permit for the third country of destination; tickets for onward journey.
